63B-RSX – Five-Slot RS-232 Instrument System
• Provides for connection to system controller via RS-232C
• Communication rates from 75 through 9600 baud
• Operates with hard-wire line of up to 2 kilometers
• Configures CDSbus as a multifunction RS-232 instrument
CONFIGURED AS AN OPTICALLY ISOLATED EIA RS-232C INSTRUMENT
This configuration provides an RS-232C hardwired connection to any system controller which
provides an EIA RS-232C I/O port. {This system is not suitable for use with modems.)
The EIA RS-232C standard defines twenty-two circuits which may be used to facilitate data transmission. Only four of these signals are required for the RSX. They are: transmitted data, received data, clear to send, and data set ready.
