ORDERING INFORMATION
53A-509 – Event Sense Card
OPT 1V- Add VXIbus Compatibility
53A-735 – Data Cable, or
53A-780 – Hooded Connector
• Continuously monitors up to 20 TTL levels or contact closures
• Interrupt speed of less than 1 µsec
• Prioritized reporting sequence
• Vectored priority interrupts
The Event Sense Card is designed to continuously monitor twenty digital inputs (TTL levels or contact closures). Each input can cause an interrupt for either a positive or negative going voltage transition (switch-selectable).
Once a voltage transition is detected, a latch is set for later examination by the system controller. The tripping of the latch will initiate a “vectored priority interrupt” to the system controller.
When the card is addressed it will send back to the system controller the address of the interrupting digital inputs. The addresses are 1 through 20, with 20 having the highest priority – i. e., an interrupt on input number 7 would be returned to the system controller before an interrupt on input number 4. Once an interrupt is read, it is automatically cleared.
BITE
A column of five LEDs provides Built-In-Test Equipment (“BITE”) for the Event Sense Card.
