Pulse Burst Generator
Each output can be used to generate a burst of pulses from DC to 5 MHz when used with an external oscillator, or 10 to 100,000 pulses per second using the internal oscillator. The burst can be programmed from 0 to 9,999,999 pulses.
Stepping Motor Controller
When used as a Stepping Motor Controller the Card provides two independent outputs for controlling stepping motor translators. Each output is programmable from 0 to +9,999,999 pulses and has manually adjustable pulse rates from 10 to 100,000 pulses per second when using the on-card oscillator, or DC to 5 MHz when an external oscillator is used. The plus and minus sign sets the direction of the stepping motor.
The 53A-260 can be used to count a preprogrammed number of pulses (0 to 9,999, 999) from DC to 5 MHz and provide both a signal out the front edge of the card and a vectored priority interrupt to the system controller when the preset number is reached.
Two LEDs provide Built-In-Test Equipment (” BITE”) for the 53A-260 Card. An individual LED will be lit when its corresponding channel contains a preset count – i.e., is busy.

Programmable from -9.999.999 to +9,999.999 steps (where © indicates clockwise and counterclockwise rotation when used as stepping motor controller).

Adjustable from 10 to 100.000 steps per second.
