The 53A-323 Digital/RF Switch Card provides four groups of five coaxial switches arranged in a star configuration, and is designed to be plugged into any system card slot. All switches may be randomly opened or closed by transmitting ASCII character commands from the system controller. The switches may be controlled individually, in groups of five, or the entire Card may be bank switched. A delay command allows the user to cause the switches to make-before-break, break-before-make, or perform other timing related functions.
Access to the switches is provided by SMB snap-on connectors on the front edge of the Card. The front edge of the Card also has holes for cable ties which may be used to secure the coaxial cables and provide strain relief. In addition, the 50 Ohm terminators may be removed, if desired.
BITE
A column of twenty LEDs provide Built-In-Test Equipment (“BITE”) for the 53A-322 Switching Card. An individual LED will be fit when its corresponding channel is closed.
